Lakeside Behavioral Health System

Since 1976 Lakeside Behavioral Health System has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Memphis and mid-south region. The 305- bed facility is located on a safe and private 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby county and provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment for adults, seniors, adolescents and children. The staff at Lakeside believes in offering a variety of options to patients, making programs more accessible and treatment more effective, while maintaining high levels of quality care.

Lakeside Behavioral Health System is accredited by The Joint Commission, certified by Medicare and licensed by the state of Tennessee.

Asperger’s Summer Day Camp at Lakeside

The lack of structure during summer vacations from school is a significant problem for children with Asperger’s Disorder. Lakeside Behavioral Health System offers a unique summer program designed specifically for elementary, middle and high school students with Asperger’s and other serious socialization issues.

The intensive outpatient program was designed by clinical professionals, parents and caregivers, with the goal to develop and maintain continuity in students’ developmental and behavioral skills throughout the summer. Led by licensed and trained therapists, certified special education teachers and certified activities therapists, the highly structured program takes place in a safe, supportive environment.

Students may attend one week or all seven weeks. Lunch is provided.

Most insurance is accepted, based upon medical necessity. Self-payment arrangements can be made.
